In February 2023, more than 2,000 people with cancer in England waited more than a month to start treatment following the clinical decision to do so. In addition, in February nearly 6,000 people with cancer in England waited more than two months to start treatment following an urgent GP referral for suspected cancer, with the second lowest performance ever recorded (58.2%) for this target.

Using data from the NHS Cancer Waiting Times statistics, we have visualised the percentage and total number of people seen within the operational standard waiting times.
