According to recent data from the Office for National Statistics, there were 845,734 domestic-abuse related crimes recorded by the police between April 2020 to March 2021. This accounts for over 18% of all crimes recorded in that period.

Due to the nature of the crimes, it is likely that there are thousands of more crimes that are not being reported or recorded.

We have visualised the ONS data, which shows the total number of domestic-abuse related crimes, as well as the amount of support available for victims, to highlight regional differences across England and Wales.
